King of Prussia Rotary
Donates $3,400 to ACLAMO
King of Prussia Rotary Club Charitable Foundation provided $3,400 in funding to ACLAMO Family Centers of Norristown, PA for the purchase of an interactive "Smartboard". The project was assisted by a grant of $1,000 from the Gundaker Foundation, which supports Rotary Club projects in the Philadelphia area. The high-tech system was recently installed in ACLAMO's computer skills training room by AVT Digital Media Systems of Malvern, PA.
Holding the presentation check behind the children from ACLAMO from the left are Rotarian Ernest Zlotolow, ACLAMO executive director Juan Guerra and King of Prussia Rotary president Carl Pinto
Depaul USA is a non-profit agency located in Philadelphia, PA. Depaul's mission is to offer homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfill their potential and move towards an independent and positive future. Our vision is that everyone should have a place to call home and a stake in their community. The values and mission we share from the example of St. Vincent de Paul find expression and life in our work at Depaul USA. Depaul USA effects change and brings hope to many struggling and marginalized people.
Our club's donation of $500makes a major difference. Financial contributions help fulfill the mission and make a positive impact on the lives of the residents at Depaul House.

Relay For Life Phoenixville
What Is Relay For Life?
Overnight relay-style event
Teams of people camp out around a track
Members of each team take turns walking around the track for the duration of the event
Food, games and activities provide entertainment and fundraising opportunities
Family-friendly environment for the entire community
What Happens at a Relay Event
Survivors Lap
Relay starts with a Survivors Lap – an inspirational time when survivors are invited to circle the track together and help everyone celebrate the victories achieved over cancer. We also recognize and celebrate caregivers at Relay For Life. These individuals give their time, love, and support to friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers who face cancer.
Luminaria Ceremony
After dark, we honor people who have been touched by cancer and remember loved ones lost to the disease during the Luminaria Ceremony. Candles are lit inside bags filled with sand, each one bearing the name of a person touched by cancer, and participants often walk a lap in silence.
Fight Back Ceremony
Last, there is a Fight Back Ceremony, where we make a personal commitment to save lives by taking up the fight against cancer. That personal commitment may be to do something as simple as getting a screening test, quitting smoking, or talking to elected officials about cancer. By taking action, people are personally taking steps to save lives and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
