The King of Prussia Rotary Charitable Foundation approved the following donations in February. All donations were made possible by funds raised in events such as the annual golf outing, annual gala and auction plus generous contributions made by King of Prussia Rotarians.
Concert Under The Stars
$250 was donated to Upper Merion Township's Concert Under TheStars. This is the 26th season for this popular summer concert program. Last year over 15,000 attended Concert Under The Stars. In 2010, great performers such as Richie havens & Trout Fishing in America are scheduled to perform.
Jeff Aponik
Prospective New Rotary Member
Jeffery Aponik was approved by the King of Prussia Rotary Board of Directors as a new member to our club in February. Jeff is a sales manager with Ayers Insurance Agency located at 112 Shaffer Rd in King of Prussia. Jeff received his Bachelor's Degree in Certified Insurance Counselor Designation. He is active in the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. Jeff is a life long soccer player and is now a coach with the Westmont Soccer Club. He is sponsored by Curin Romich. Please welcome Jeff as a new member to our club.
Carl Pinto is awarded the Paul Harris Plus 1 Sapphire Fellowship
The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarian's and community professionals in recognition of their outstanding contributions, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing "SERVICE ABOVE SELF." This honor accompanies a donation of $1,000 or more, in the recipient's name, to Rotary Internationale's "Annual Program Fund." To achieve a Paul Harris Plus 1 Fellowship, Rotarian's must donate $2,000 to the fund.

Diane B Morgan Montgomery County Controller
speaking at the February 1st Rotary meeting. Diane is a graduate of Temple University where she received both a B.A. and M.A. in Speech Pathology. She holds a PA Speech Pathology license and an insurance license in Life and Health. She is a business owner, insurance agent, and activist. She is married to David. They have 2 married daughters and 4 grandsons.
Diane founded DM&A, a rehabilitation agency providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and audiology services to long term facilities, hospitals, home health agencies and private clients. As CEO, she was responsible for marketing, management, employment contracts, budgeting, staff development, finance reporting, negotiating loans, and annual audits. After 18 years, the company was sold. After witnessing the costs involved in long term care, she turned her career to the sale of LTC policies that would offer protection to the public.
Diane has worked with Citizens for Better Ambler since 2004 and is a founding member of the Citizens Advisory Group that works with the E.P.A. to find viable solutions to the 38 acre Bo-Rit asbestos site in Ambler. The site was listed on the National Priority List on April 9, 2009 and is currently a superfund site.
In 2007, she was elected Controller of Montgomery County. Diane is the 1st the first female to hold that office in more than 150 years.

Leadership Advisory Services, established by Tony Chivinski, is located in Central Pennsylvania. Tony began his career as a CPA with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co. He then spent 27 years with Pennfield Corporation, a mid-sized, closely-held, multi-unit company, with his most recent position being Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He has served on the Board of Directors for Sterling Financial Corporation, Sterling Financial Trust Company and Pennfield Corporation. Tony's background includes numerous additional board and leadership experiences with national trade associations, national and local non-profit organizations, as well as church and a local municipality.
