KING OF PRUSSIA ROTARY CLUB AWARDS – Paul Vaughn, Carl Beck

Carl A. Beck Vocational Excellence Award: Presented annually to an individual, in recognition of outstanding vocational and labor relations achievements as a professional and businessperson in the local community, exemplifying Rotary’s objects and ideals.

Carl Beck was a charter member of the KOP Rotary and served two successive years as club president from 1956 through 1958. He is the author of a narrative poem about the formation of our club, titled, "Long Live the King" – a ballad in five chapters.

Paul A. Vaughan Community Four-Way Test Excellence Award: Presented annually to one individual in recognition of significant and extended contributions to the local community, rendered in a manner that exemplifies Rotary’s Four-Way Test.

Paul Vaughn was known among us as "Mr. Rotary." He was club president in 1967-1968, and served as District Governor from 1974-1975. A plaque was placed at the King of Prussia Mall in his memory. (See below).
