Upper Merion Area High School Scholarship Fund

The Charitable Foundation’s contributes annualy to the Upper Merion Area High School Scholarship Fund. Our donation is a substantial part of this scholarship program, which has enabled many students to attend the college of their choice. The board of trustees of the high school fund includes three K of P Rotarians, George Shoffner, Dr. Carl Schultheis and Carl Pinto, who is our club’s designated representative. We believe that our continued participation in this important program meets the objectives Rotary.

A key feature of the scholarship fund enables the participation of individuals, businesses and organizations to have a “named” scholarship by contributing $1,000.00 or more. Our club has two such scholarships which are acknowledged annually during the school’s Ivy Day presentation ceremony. One is the Henry B. Poor Memorial Scholarship, which for the past 9 years has been $3,000.00/ year, and the second is the $1,000.00 Pranab Goswami “Service above Self” Scholarship.

Any club member, who wishes to make an individual personal contribution to the scholarship fund, or donate under a “named” scholarship for your business or organization, may do so by using the link below for the Upper Merion School District Scholarship Fund.
